I am an Associate Professor (Reader) at the Warwick Mathematics Institute, specialising in mathematical modelling and scientific computing for complex physical and technological systems.
My research combines analytical and computational methods — including reduced-dimensional modelling, asymptotic and stability analysis, direct numerical simulation and high-performance computing — with a particular focus on interfacial and multi-physics flows, alongside computational acoustics and industrial mathematics.
I lead the Radu Cimpeanu Scientific Computing Group, where we develop and maintain open research software accompanying publications and ongoing projects. Most of my scientific code lives there rather than on this personal account.
